308 E Prince St

In March of 2025, the Friends of the St. Paul Farmers’
Market was founded as a non-profit 501C-3. The primary function of the group is
to serve as the fundraising sector for the new indoor market opening in the
summer of 2025, located at 308 E. Prince St. in the Northern Warehouse (the
space formerly occupied by the Black Dog Café).

The new space will serve multiple functions, which include:
– The Country Store, open 365 days a year, is open to everyone as a place to shop for locally grown produce, meat, dairy products, bread, coffee, a variety of preserved and ready-made food, plus more!
– A commercial kitchen, available to rent for cottage food and larger-scale producers
– Pop-up restaurants featuring the best local chefs
– The return of the indoor winter market, where you can find your favorite year-round vendors and meet some new ones
– Fundraising events

To continue making improvements in the current space, purchase necessary equipment (refrigerators, display cases, mixers, etc.), and fund ongoing operation, we’re asking for community support. All donations are tax-deductible and deeply appreciated. Please consider becoming a Friend of the St. Paul Farmer’s Market by donating to support this impactful and exciting extension of the market!

Vision Statement
Our vision is to foster a collaborative space in the heart of Lowertown, St. Paul, bringing growers, producers, and consumers together. We function as a space for many, lowering the risk to our members through a shared cost model while simultaneously addressing the food desert in the neighborhood by offering locally grown and produced food year-round.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Friends of the Market 501C-3 is to serve as a catalyst for growth, gathering, and collaboration in the community, to extend the offerings of the St. Paul
Farmer’s Market to a broader group through our year-round country store, provides a shared commercial kitchen space for small business owners to produce their goods, and curates community-facing events that showcase our local growers and producers.
